Give it an identity

A great agent isn't the one with the cleverest AI — it's the one that knows your business. Start by giving it an identity and everything it needs to answer correctly.

Two ways to build: tell Logos what you want in chat and it saves it for you, or open Settings and edit any field by hand. Both write to the exact same place — pick one below and the rest of this guide follows your choice.

The fastest way is to just talk. Open Logos from the top navigation and describe your business in a sentence — it proposes each setting as a card you approve, one at a time.

Open "Logos" from anywhere in the workbench.
Open Logos →
Describe your business once. Logos proposes each change as an editable card — tap the checkmark to save, or Undo if it's not right.

Prefer to set it by hand? Every field Logos fills lives in Settings too. Start with Persona — how the agent opens a conversation, its tone, how much it says, and which languages it replies in. Two clicks from anywhere in the workbench:

Click "Build" from anywhere in the workbench.
Persona sits under "Identity" in the Build sidebar.
Open Persona Settings →
The opening message, filled in for a small fashion boutique.

Either way, see the full Persona guide for a field-by-field walkthrough of tone, length, and languages.

Add what it needs to know

This is the foundation everything else relies on — the facts customers actually ask for, in your own words. In Logos you just say it; in Settings you fill in the matching card. Same result either way.

Business Details

Hours, contact info, and what you sell.

Business Details sits right below Persona in the same "Identity" group.
Open Business Details →
Business description — hours and contact details sit right below it.

FAQ

Your most-asked questions, answered in your own words.

FAQ sits under "Knowledge," alongside Sources, Catalog and Links.

Product catalog

If you sell things, this is what the agent recommends and quotes prices from.

Product Catalog sits in the same "Knowledge" group.

Links

Portfolio or reference pages worth citing in an answer.

Links sits in the same "Knowledge" group.

Guidelines

Hard rules the agent should never break, no matter how it's asked.

Guidelines sits under "Behavior," alongside Scenarios.

Test it before anyone sees it

Open Preview and send a few real questions — the Test button sits next to Logos in the top navigation.

Click "Test" to open the live preview and send a few real questions.

Notice it answered straight from the hours and return policy you set — if an answer is off, edit it right there and Preview turns your edit into a training example automatically.

Tip: Editing a response in Preview creates a pending Training proposal behind the scenes — you'll see exactly how that works in Week 3.
