Add knowledge from a document

Have a price list, a catalog, or an FAQ sitting in a file? Upload it and your agent reads it — turning the useful parts into FAQ, catalog, and links you approve.

Why a document

A lot of businesses already keep their knowledge in a file — a price list, a product catalog, a one-pager of common questions. Instead of retyping it, upload the file and your agent reads it, pulling out the parts worth knowing.

Best when your knowledge is already written down. If it lives on your website instead, scan that; if it's only in your head, a guided interview draws it out. A document is the shortcut when you've got the file.

Accepted files: PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), and text (.txt, .md, .csv, .rtf, .html). A few pages works best — a focused price list beats a 60-page brand manual.

Upload a file

Documents live in the same place as every other source — under Settings.

Click "Build" at the top.
"Sources" is in the side menu, under "Knowledge."
Pick "Add a document."
Drag a file onto the box, or click to browse.

Review what it found

Reading takes a few seconds, then you get the important step: nothing is added blindly. The agent shows what it found and you tick what to keep.

Keep the FAQ, catalog, links, and business details you want — remove any of it later.
  • Questions & answers become FAQ
  • Products & services become catalog items
  • Links it spotted become links
  • Business details update your profile
You stay in control: uncheck anything that isn't right before you add it, and you can always remove the source later — which removes the content it added along with it.
