What Agents is for
Agents is the app where you build your AI agent: the one that answers your customers when they write to you on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, LinkedIn, email or the chat on your website. It answers from what you taught it, in your tone and in the customer's own language, at any hour. It sells, books and looks up orders, and hands the conversation to you when a person is needed.
It is for any small or mid-sized business that answers the same questions all day: a store asked about stock and orders, a clinic or salon asked for a free time, a service business asked for a quote. You set the agent up once, and it answers on every channel you connect, with one inbox behind all of them. And it gets better every time you correct it.
- Build the agent by describing your business, pasting your website or starting from a template, and refine it by chatting.
- Watch every conversation in one inbox, and step in whenever you like, from your computer or your phone.
- Improve it by correcting an answer once, approve the fixes it suggests itself, and see how much work it took off you.
- Reach out first with follow-ups, WhatsApp broadcasts and social posts, not only answer.
- Connect it to your store, your calendar, your sheets and the other AssistantLabs apps, so it can book, sell, open tickets and file tasks.
On your phone: install Agents as an app from your browser, switch on push notifications in your account, and get an alert the moment a new conversation arrives or the agent needs your help, on iPhone and Android.
Build it and teach it your business
You don't fill in a long form. On the agent's Home you describe what it should do, or start from a template for your type of business, and Logos, the chat that builds agents, sets it up in about a minute. After that, everything can be changed in two ways: ask Logos in plain words ("be a bit warmer, and mention we're closed on Saturdays") and see the change take effect right away, or open the page under Build and edit it yourself.
- Sources. Give it your website: the scanner reads your pages, recognises your platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, WordPress) and fills in your FAQ, catalog, business details and links. Add a document such as a price list or policy, or answer a short interview about the business.
- Learn from your conversations. Under Build → Sources, the agent reads the chats you brought in from WhatsApp and pulls out the questions customers ask and how you answer them. Personal details are left out, and nothing is saved until you tick what it keeps.
- Link another agent. Also under Sources: mirror the FAQ, catalog, links, guidelines, scenarios or business details of another agent in your workspace, kept in sync on their own, and share its connections so both agents use the same store or calendar.
- Identity. Business details (hours, address, how to reach you) and the persona: its name, its tone, how it greets people.
- Knowledge. The FAQ, a product catalog with prices and several tagged images per item, and links the agent sends at the right moment (a menu, a booking page, a price list). A Google Sheet works too, for anything that changes often.
- Behavior. Guidelines are the rules it follows in every conversation: what to always do, what never to say, and when to hand over to a person automatically. Scenarios walk a customer through a fixed set of questions, like a quote request or an intake.
Every new fact is checked against what the agent already knows. If it contradicts something, the conflict is flagged instead of saved, so its answers never contradict each other. And when you would rather have fixed buttons than a free conversation, an agent can run in scripted mode: you build button-driven flows in a flow builder, on the same channels and with the same inbox.
Before anyone sees it: the Test button at the top opens a chat with your agent. Ask it what your customers ask, and fix what it gets wrong before you connect a channel. Logos can also rehearse a change with you: ask it to show how the agent would answer before you save.
Where it answers, and where you watch
Under Build → Channels you connect the places your customers already write to you. The same agent, with the same knowledge and voice, answers on each of them. There is no re-training per channel, and every channel is in every plan.
- WhatsApp. Through the official WhatsApp Business API, on your existing business number, and you keep replying from the WhatsApp app on your phone as usual: the moment you reply, the agent steps aside. It sends images, documents and locations, starts conversations with approved templates, and picks up the chats that come from your click-to-WhatsApp ads. When you connect, you can bring in your recent chats for it to learn from. How to connect WhatsApp.
- Instagram. Direct messages, story replies and story mentions, answered the moment they arrive. The agent shares products from your catalog and captures leads right in the DM.
- Messenger. Your Facebook Page's messages, with quick reply buttons, a persistent menu, and a hand-over to a person when it is needed.
- Your website. A chat widget added with one line of code, in your branding. It greets visitors, answers them, and captures leads. From the same page, download a free AI search kit (llms.txt files, structured data and an FAQ page) so ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI answers find and recommend your business.
- Shareable link. A ready-made chat page you can send to anyone, with nothing to install. Its conversations land in the inbox under their own channel.
- Email. The agent reads and answers support emails from your own address, keeps each thread together, sorts and routes what comes in, and hands over to a person when needed. It replies on its own, or prepares a draft and waits for you to approve it.
- LinkedIn. Connect your company page, and the agent handles its messages and the content you publish there.
Every conversation, from every channel, lands in Conversations, one thread per customer: if someone writes on Instagram and later on WhatsApp, it is the same contact and the agent sees the whole history. Your whole team works from that one screen. See what is unread, what is assigned to you, what is resolved and what is archived; assign a conversation to a teammate; leave an internal note; send an approved WhatsApp template to start a conversation yourself; or flag a conversation the agent handled badly, with how bad and why, so it is fixed.
Contacts keeps everyone who wrote to the agent, with their channel, tags, your own custom fields and the whole history. Group them into segments by tag, channel or when they last wrote, see how many people are in a group before you send, and export it any time.
Make it better every week
An agent gets better the way a new employee does: you correct it. Here it also corrects itself, and brings you the fix to approve.
- Training. Under any answer you don't like, click Edit Response and write what it should have said. Correct it once, and it sticks: the correction becomes a proposal, and nothing changes until you approve it.
- Improvement proposals. After every conversation, the agent spots the answers it could have handled better and suggests a precise fix, with the reason: a missing rule, two instructions that contradict each other, the persona, or a gap in its knowledge. Approve them one by one or all at once from Training, and each approval updates the agent instantly.
- Analytics. How many conversations came in, how many the agent handled on its own, how much work it took off your team, which channels bring the work, how your WhatsApp templates perform, and which tags are trending.
- Tags. The agent reads every conversation and tags each contact as it goes (a new lead, a returning customer, a refund request, a VIP), so your lists stay organized without anyone touching them. A tag can trigger a webhook to your other tools, through Make or your own system.
- Notifications. Tag a contact as VIP and the right people are told automatically: a personal WhatsApp message to you when a conversation gets a certain tag, plus push alerts on your phone when a new chat lands.
Reach customers before they write
Answering is half the job. The agent also keeps every customer moving, from the first hello to the repeat order.
- Follow-ups. When a chat goes quiet, the agent waits, then nudges, on your own timing. Build a sequence of nudges, and it stops the moment the customer replies. Good for leads, quotes and abandoned carts.
- Broadcasts. Send a personalized WhatsApp campaign to a segment or to a list you upload, schedule it for later, and watch it land. A message WhatsApp doesn't deliver shows as "Not delivered" in its conversation, and broadcasts only reach people who opted in.
- Social posts. In Growth, write Instagram posts with an AI caption and an AI image in your brand colors and style, keep your images in a media library, turn a product screenshot into a marketing visual, and schedule the post or publish it now.
- Abandoned carts. Connected to your store, the agent nudges a customer who left a cart behind, gently, on the same chat.
WhatsApp's rule, not ours: for 24 hours after a customer's last message you can write to them freely. Outside that window, a message has to go out as a template Meta approved, which is what broadcasts and follow-ups use.
Connect the tools you already run
Build → Integrations connects the agent to the systems your answers live in, so it can look things up and act in the middle of a conversation.
- Your store. Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix or e-shop: the agent recommends products from your live catalog and answers about the customer's own order (status, tracking, items and delivery date) right inside the chat. A Facebook catalog works too.
- Your diary. The Booking app, Google Calendar or Calendly: the agent checks your real availability, books the slot and sends the confirmation, or shares your booking link.
- Your data and your work tools. Google Sheets as a knowledge source, Monday.com for your boards and contacts, Fireberry, and the Agents app inside your Wix dashboard, which syncs contacts and runs your CRM workflows from there.
- Your marketing tools. A form on your site (any builder, through the Form Webhook) sends every new lead a WhatsApp template. Flashy sends WhatsApp templates when its automations fire, Send Message adds SMS and email, and Make connects anything else.
- Anything with an API. A custom integration turns any system into a tool the agent uses mid-conversation: look up a policy, check stock, open a job.
If you have your own system, the Developer center in your account gives you API keys (each one limited to the agents and permissions you choose), the full API reference and OpenAPI file, webhooks that send events to your system, and the AssistantLabs skill for Claude. Your system can send WhatsApp updates through our API, and push extra instructions to the agent.
Answers you can trust, data that stays yours
The infrastructure behind your agent is the serious kind: official APIs, and data that is used only to run your agent.
- It only speaks from what you taught it. It checks every new fact against what it already knows, flags conflicts, and hands off to your team when it isn't sure, so it doesn't make things up.
- Official connections. WhatsApp through the official WhatsApp Business API on your own verified number, and Instagram and Messenger through Meta's own platforms.
- What the agent may see. In Conversation settings, choose which contact details it can use to greet a known customer (name, phone, email, notes, tags, your own fields), and block ID and card numbers from being saved at all.
- Hide the customer from the AI. Under Build → Privacy, the customer's name, phone, email, ID number and IBAN are replaced with placeholders before a message reaches the AI model, and filled back in before the reply is sent. The AI sees what was said, never who said it. Use the built-in protection or your own privacy gateway, try it on a sample message first, and run it in test mode before you switch it on.
- Your data stays yours. Conversations and contacts are encrypted, used only to run your agent, and never sold.
Works with your other apps
Agents is the app that talks to customers. The other AssistantLabs apps share the same login, the same workspace and the same contact record, so whatever happens in a conversation carries on in them, and what they know flows back into the next conversation.
- Booking: the agent books in the chat. Connect your agent from Booking, or from Build → Integrations → Booking here. The agent reads your real diary before it says a word, offers only times that fit your opening hours and rules, and books, moves or cancels an appointment inside the chat; customers get a reminder before they come. Or it just sends your booking page. Every booking lands on that customer's record, and the agent reads the same record, so it knows them before they say hello. The Booking app
- Sales: journeys hand the chat to your agent. In Sales you connect an agent, and its WhatsApp number is the one journey messages come from. Steps written by AI are written by your agent, with everything it knows about your products. The moment a customer replies, the journey pauses and your agent takes over on the same number: it answers, checks stock, recommends products, builds the cart and closes the sale. Segments use the agent's tags and your CRM, one Shopify install serves both apps, and the leads board is built from people who wrote to your agent and haven't bought yet. The Sales app
- Helpdesk: the manager your agent answers to. Connect your agent, and every conversation becomes a ticket with a title, a summary and the customer's history. Helpdesk decides what the agent may see and do, holds sensitive actions for a person, and closes the tickets the agent clearly solved. What needs a person gets a priority, a read on how the customer feels, and goes to the right teammate. The agent follows your business hours and holidays; when it hands a customer over, the ticket is escalated, and when you resolve it, the agent picks the conversation back up. The Helpdesk app
- CRM: a CRM that fills itself from your chats. Connect your agent in CRM settings, and every person who writes to it becomes a contact, automatically. Every new chat updates the record (topics, orders, tags), and the timeline shows conversations, bookings, calls and notes together. The CRM lays out its contact and company pages from what your agent knows about your business, and the fields you keep there go back to the agent through Conversation settings, so the next answer is personal. The CRM app
- Marketing: brings people into your agent's chat. Marketing learns your business from your agent (business details, FAQ, catalog, guidelines), so you don't type them twice. Its ads are click-to-WhatsApp ads, so a new customer lands straight in a conversation with your agent, which answers, qualifies and books. A keyword comment on your Instagram post gets a DM, and the conversation carries on with the agent. Email campaigns go out through the agent's email channel, so a customer who replies gets an answer from the agent. The Marketing app
- Tasks: what a conversation promised, and what needs you. Turn a conversation into a task, and the task page shows that conversation, so whoever picks it up sees what the customer said. Every decision that waits on you, such as a reply to a customer or a refund, sits on one board and reaches you on WhatsApp from your own business number, ready to approve in one tap. The Tasks app
How to get started
Start with one agent and one channel. You can add everything else once it answers well.
- Sign in and describe your business. Open assistantlabs.io/app, and on Home describe what you do in a sentence, paste your website link, or pick a template.
- Check what it knows. Under Build, go over Business details, Persona, FAQ and the Product catalog. Ask Logos to fix anything wrong, and let it learn from your past conversations.
- Test it yourself. Open the Test panel and ask the questions your customers ask.
- Connect a channel. Most businesses start with WhatsApp. Keep the channel paused until the answers look right to you.
- Connect what you already use. Your store, your calendar, a sheet, a form, and then the other apps above, one at a time.
